Инструкция по установке:

1. Скачать и установить MSXML

2. Установить MathCAD (у кого может и через setup.exe устанавливается, но у меня он так и не запустился. Ставил через . mathcadMathcad15WixInstaller.msi

3. Выполнить в командной строке (Пуск>Выполнить или клавиши Win + R)

и скопировать оттуда свой физический адрес:

Адрес у каждого свой. Здесь только пример

4. Открываем в Блокноте файл лицензии license.dat (комплект "лекарства" в шапке) и вместо 00-00-00-00-00-00 вставляем свой физический адрес (должно быть 5 замен!). Копируем файл лицензии в C:Program FilesMathcadMathcad 15licenses. Копируем также 2 "подлеченных" файла – efiutlr.dll и mathcad.exe – в папку C:Program FilesMathcadMathcad 15 с заменой файлов.

Проверить в реестре запись HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMathsoftMathcad 14FlexLM: значение "LicensePath. Должно быть C:Program FilesMathcadMathcad 15licenseslicense.dat

5. Если при запуске появляется ошибка – переименовать или удалить саму папку WPP_AddOn (Я просто переименовал: C:Program FilesMathcadMathcad 15WPP_Add)

Дополнительная информация:
Не нужно при установке выбирать Windchill Product Point если таковой у Вас не используется.

Установка и Лечение:
Перед установкой Mathcad 15 удалить предыдущие версии Mathcad .
Очистить ВСЕ хвосты реестра и всё всё что связано с Mathcad во избежании проблем установки .

1. Скачать и установить MSXML 4 SP2 (первая строка в поиске – от MS).

2.Из папки Crack копируем на рабочий стол файл license.dat. Открываем в Блокноте этот файл лицензии license.dat и вместо 00-00-00-00-00-00 вставляем свой физический адрес (должно быть 5 замен! ).

We had ordered a bunch of product codes (student license) and experience the problem that they are not accepted when we try to install Mathad 15.

The product codes all start with MP010111EA. an because of the MP I suppose they are intended for MC Prime. We are not (yet) interested in Mathcad Prime and don’t want to have to install Prime first simply to get a valid license file which then works for MC 15 too. It is also not reasonable to have every student to call technical support, give them his product code and MAC-Adress to get a valid license file.

I thought that Mathcad 15 and Mathcad Prime share license file AND product code but it seems that this is not true at least for the product code.

Are we doing something wrong or is there a simple solution available?

Read these online instructions. They should help you. Look at the bottom of the page, where it describes how to use your Mathcad Prime 1.0 license file with Mathcad 15.

I thought that Mathcad 15 and Mathcad Prime share license file AND product code but it seems that this is not true at least for the product code.

That’s the case on my machine.

According to those instructions it looks like you are forced to install Prime first and then point the license manager of MC15 to the prime license file. I had already found those instructions an therfore knew it works that way. But as already written we do not want to install Prime because we have no use for a version without symbolics and 3D graphs and it is rather uncomfortable to force all our students to install Prime just to get a license file for MC15.

If its true, that this is the only way to install Mathcad 15 I wonder, why the installation routine of Version 15 asks for a product code anyway.

I excepcted the product code to work for Prime AND MC15. If I understand your answer right you were lucky and had been able to install V15 with the Prime product code? Maybe a limitation of the student edition because they want people to beta test Prime?

Regarding your question about the OS in use. The installation failed on different machines for different people – OS is in most cases Win7, sometimes Win XP.

That wasn’t the case with installing M15 on my home machine.

Do you have the 30 days of technical support, especially to help with installation issues. Log your problem here, https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/mathcad_case_logger/options.jsp and check Installation.

Support can help with ONE license only. If you tell them the product code and your MAC-address they send you a valid license file for that one computer. So you have the choice whats less uncomfortable: dealing with the PTC support and waiting for the file to arrive per mail OR installing a software you do not intend to use and know you will uninstall a moment later.

We have a set of 1000 licenses and are searching for a solution which is as comfortable for our students as possible.

To be honest, I can’t see the issue with installing a product like Prime and just leaving it on the machine, why delete it? Even if you have not intension of using it, letting your students familiarize themselves with the software will only help as Prime is the future of Mathcad, and Mathcad Prime 2.0 has both of the features you need.

Being forced to install two software packages, while you need only one of them means, that we have to distribute both of them resp. the students have to download both and it means that the time needed for installation is doubled. Installation instructions we have to provide are getting longer and more confusing as would be necessary. The reason why they have to download and intstall a second version of the program which is not used in education is not really easy to communicate. We would prefer to present Prime as a free to choose option if someone likes to take a look in the future (or needs some better looking graphs).

Its bad enough we have to cover in our instructions the need for "Microsoft XML-Parser Version 4.0 Core Services SP2" and "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package SP1 (x86)" – how to find out if they are already installed and where to get them if not. Mathcad should do that itself during installation and install the necessary preliminaries automatically.

I agree it could be a benefit to install both versions to familiarize with future releases, but I don’t like beeing forced to do so. Personally I am not the beta-version-tester or early adopter type of user. If a tool fulfills my needs I have no problem staying with it, even if its not the brand-new release. We felt that the change to Mathcad 15 would be necessary because we resp. our students experienced too much troubles with MC14 and WIN7.

Anyway, the question is still unanswered: Is it possible (or should it be possible) to install Mathcad 15 (student license) using the MP. product code without installing Prime or calling support or not?
